Use this tool to stamp out your own primer cups. We developed this product to address the primer shortage.
1. Use commonly found roof or aluminum valley flashing
2. Cut the aluminum, comes in a roll, into approx. 1" wide strips. Strips can be as long or short depending on how many pcs you are going to punch out.
3. Place the strip into the slot on the side of the tool. Now using an arbor press (a press from harbor freight is a great inexpensive option) press the top of the tool until it cuts through the aluminum. A primer cup has been formed. Relax the arbor press. Move aluminum strip ahead about .75 - 1" Repeat until the desired number of primer cups have been formed.
4. After about 10-20 strokes the primer cups will automatically start to come out of the top hole of the tool. No need to take each cup out after every stroke.
It is recommended to use a small amount of light oil to lubricate the top and bottom of the tool and the aluminum flashing.
